Ultimately, SOUNDWICH.ES is something that I’m creating for myself. A sort of digital shoebox to hold all of my love letters to music. In the coming months, it will transform from the HTML-based mix tape that it is today, into a realtime glimpse into my world of music.

There will be no reviews or critiques. There will be no tour announcements. There will be no labels or advertisors dictating what I post. SOUNDWICH.ES is, and forever will be, a personal chronicle of my unabashed affection for great songs.

Instead of just putting up some sort of “Coming soon. Please give me your email address.” message while things are still being developed, I decided to go for broke and assemble my top 100 songs of 2011 into the most comprehensive “Under Construction” page ever!

The songs on the list below represent what was playing in my head throughout 2011 and this countdown was painstakingly compiled to be listenable as a continuous playlist - although it is pretty awesome on shuffle as well. You can preview all 100 tracks below, subscribe to the entire playlist on Spotify, download the songs on iTunes, buy them on vinyl at Insound, or round out your CD collection at Amazon.
